The Twins don't spend money because their owner would rather pocket more profit than allow the club to be more competitive with free agents/star players. The Yankees are the richest franchise in all of sports, in the richest market for all of sports. Both external rankings are global. The biggest (total) and highest spending companies in the world spend more than most; why should it be different for sports?<BR/>The Jets spend way more than the Chiefs, but they're both under the salary cap...
