Seen on the Scene

Conney Island's own Stephon Marbury was seen sitting courtside at last nights New York Knicks-Los Angeles Lakers game played in L.A.. Starbury is getting paid $21 million plus this season by the New York Knicks who have decided to ban him from practices and games while maintaining their stance that he will not be traded, released, or waived.

Man, Stephon must be enjoying himself. Using all that free New York money to buy courtside tickets for a Lakers game.

If you didn't already know. To the sports owners of New York City: "Money Ain't a Thang." Just see how the Yankees throw around money

Don't hate the player, hate the game. The Twins don't spend money because their owner would rather pocket more profit than allow the club to be more competitive with free agents/star players. The Yankees are the richest franchise in all of sports, in the richest market for all of sports. Both external rankings are global. The biggest (total) and highest spending companies in the world spend more than most; why should it be different for sports?
The Jets spend way more than the Chiefs, but they're both under the salary cap... Marketing, promotions, naming rights, advertisements = total equality among all teams... Yeah right...
