Casting Keeps Excitement on the Rise

Tim Burton's much talked about upcoming adaptation of Alice in Wonderland is gaining more attention.

His live-action CGI/3-D movie already gained attention when they cast relative unknown Australian actress Mia Wasikowska in the lead of Alice, as I previously posted.

But, in the recent weeks other castings have raised the stakes. Johnny Depp has been cast as the Mad Hatter. Helena Bonham Carter has been cast as the Red Queen. And now just today it has been revealed that Saturday's Saturday Night Live host, Anne Hathaway has been cast as the White Queen.

The film is planning for a fall/winter 2010 release. It's going to be a while.

Other star filled movies to look out for in the future:
-Public Enemies (July 2009) (dir. Michael Mann): Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard
-Sherlock Holmes (2010) (dir. Guy Ritchie): Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams
-Lone Ranger (probably 2010): George Clooney, Johnny Depp
