Thanks to VH1's endless Best Week Ever's and Sofia Coppola's beautifully written and directed Lost in Translation we as Americans have become aware that celebrities that are too above selling themselves out here in the States just fly out to the Japan to embarrass themselves to a foreign crowd for some extra cash. Celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Ben Stiller, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwartzenegger have all gone out and done it. And must of them are fairly embarrassing. However, the ad at the top of this post featuring Brad Pitt in a Charlie Chaplain-esque role is quite artistic. Directed by Wes Anderson (Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) the commercial for Japanese Soft Bank is gaining quite a buzz overseas here in America.
